What “mobile app” means here
A native app installs from the App Store or Google Play. Most AI builders that make native apps use React Native through Expo, so one codebase runs on iPhone and Android. A responsive web app runs in the phone’s browser and needs no store review.
Rork: built only for mobile
Rork designs your screens first, then builds native code: SwiftUI for iPhone, Kotlin with Jetpack Compose for Android, or React for the web. It includes a backend, device previews and publishing to both stores. The Free plan designs only (5 credits a day); building needs Rork Pro at $20/mo with 100 credits, and Rork Max starts at $200/mo.
Replit: the most guided path to the App Store
Replit Agent builds React Native/Expo apps. You can preview them in an iOS Simulator or Android Emulator, or on your phone with Expo Go. Replit’s Launch flow builds, signs and uploads iOS builds to App Store Connect, and you don’t need a Mac or Xcode. You do need an Apple Developer Program account, and Google Play uploads are manual.
Bolt: Expo with full control
Bolt builds an Expo app when you say “mobile app” in your first prompt (its docs say web projects don’t easily switch over later). You test with Expo Go, then download the code and use the EAS CLI (`eas build --platform ios --auto-submit`) to ship to TestFlight, the App Store and Google Play.
Anything: web and App Store from one tool
Anything builds web apps and mobile apps, and its Pro plan ($24/mo, or $19/mo billed annually, 20k credits) publishes to the App Store and takes payments through Stripe and RevenueCat. There is no free plan for building.
Bubble: visual no-code with native mobile plans
Bubble generates an app with AI and lets you edit everything visually. Building and testing a mobile app is free; going live on the stores needs a Mobile plan from $49/mo ($42 annual) or Web + Mobile from $69/mo ($59), which include 10 to 25 store builds in the first three months.
Lovable: web apps only
Lovable builds web apps and sites. That’s fine if a mobile-friendly web app is enough. For a store app, start in Rork, Replit or Bolt.
Costs outside the builder
Store publishing needs your own Apple Developer and Google Play Developer accounts, as both Replit’s and Bolt’s docs note. For in-app purchases, Bolt’s docs point to RevenueCat.
