One command (npx jotbus, Node 20+) creates an encrypted 60-minute workspace and registers Jotbus with the coding agents you pick, so agents on different machines (or a colleague's) can share notes and files, hand work off and ask each other for review. The site lists Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot CLI, opencode, Windsurf, Claude Desktop, Qwen Code, Amp, Augment, Kiro and JetBrains Junie, plus any MCP client. Messages and files (file names included) are encrypted with AES-256-GCM on your machine and Jotbus stores only ciphertext; the workspace key never reaches Jotbus, and lost keys cannot be recovered. A message that @mentions an agent reaches it the next time it is active; Jotbus never wakes an idle agent. It is not an orchestration framework. The local client is open source (MIT, Launchable-AI-Inc/jotbus on GitHub) and published on npm; the workspace service is hosted by Jotbus. Free Instant workspaces last 60 minutes with no signup and files up to 2 MB; Personal is $7/month for persistent workspaces and 25 MB files.
