À la carte outbound email is $0.10 per 1,000 emails; AWS also offers Essentials, Pro ($105 per account per region per month) and Enterprise plans that bundle deliverability tools, and new accounts default to Essentials from July 21, 2026 unless they switch back to à la carte. Inbound mail and routing run through Mail Manager. New accounts start in a sandbox and must request production access before they can email arbitrary recipients.
