Geiger
Work on Geiger? Verify this listing (free)Read-only command that inventories every AI agent, MCP server and plugin on a machine and what each can touch
Geiger by Atomburst: one read-only command (npx geiger-scan, Node 18+, zero dependencies) that inventories the AI agents, harnesses, MCP servers, plugins, skills, hooks, git hooks, editor and browser AI extensions and AI apps on a machine, including Claude Code, Codex CLI, Gemini CLI, Cursor, Windsurf, Claude Desktop, Cline, Zed, Aider and OpenCode. Each finding gets plain-language labels (EXECUTES, HOLDS-SECRETS, BROAD-FILESYSTEM, BROAD-WEB, NETWORK, UNKNOWN-ORIGIN), its origin and an evidence path, with remediation notes. Credentials are reported by key name and shape only, never the value. Output formats: terminal, HTML (--html) and JSON (--json); --diff baseline.json --strict works as a drift alarm in cron or CI. No account, no telemetry; the only write is a report file you name. Its README states it is an inventory, not a security audit, and lists limits (known config locations only, config not runtime behaviour). MIT licensed. Atomburst also sells DomainGuard, a separate policy product for organizations.
Best for: Developers and IT teams who want to see which agents, MCP servers and plugins are installed on a machine and what they can reach

Why this score: A useful, honest audit-the-agents tool: free, MIT, zero dependencies, no telemetry, read-only by design, and clear about its limits. It scores below the core coding agents on fit because it inventories your setup rather than building anything, and momentum is moderate: 167 GitHub stars and a string of releases between Sep 6 and Sep 21, 2026 (latest v0.4.0), but no commits since Sep 21 and about 98 npm downloads in the week of Oct 12–18. We have not run it hands-on.
