Best Agent skills
SKILL.md skill packs that teach Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and other coding agents repeatable workflows: planning, TDD, code review, UI quality and framework best practices.
Agent skills are folders of instructions (a SKILL.md file plus optional scripts) that teach a coding agent how to do one job well, such as planning before coding, writing tests or following React best practices. They are free text files you install into Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and other agents, so the real choice is which habits you want your agent to pick up. How to choose

How to choose agent skills
A process, or single habits
Superpowers (90) is a full method: the agent brainstorms with you, writes a spec and a plan, then builds with test-driven development and code review. It suits vibe coders whose agent jumps straight into code. Matt Pocock’s Skills (89) are 55 smaller skills you pick one at a time, such as grill-me to stress-test your plan, tdd and handoff. Both are MIT-licensed and work across many agents.
Stack-specific skills
Vercel Agent Skills (83) teach React and Next.js performance rules and run 100+ UI, accessibility and UX checks. Supabase Agent Skills (82) cover Supabase features plus Postgres performance and Row-Level Security, which helps if your agent writes leaky RLS policies. Anthropic Agent Skills (81) include frontend-design for better-looking UIs and skill-creator for writing your own.
Installing them
The Skills CLI (88) from Vercel installs skills from GitHub or any git URL into Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, Cline and more with npx skills add. Anyone can publish a skill, so read it and check the security audit on skills.sh before installing.
Licenses
Superpowers, Matt Pocock’s Skills, Supabase Agent Skills and the Skills CLI are MIT. Some of Anthropic’s skills are Apache 2.0, but its document skills are source-available. Vercel’s skills repo had no license file as of Oct 16, 2026.
